Luongo gives hockey stick to Grandma

It was an experience of a lifetime when 87-year-old grandmother Hilda Morrison, from Langley B.C, attended her first NHL hockey game.

Kelly Munday, from Terrace B.C., took her grandmother to watch the Canucks on home ice as the team took on the Colorado Avalanche Feb. 15.

To Morrison's delight, when the game was over, Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo gave her his hockey stick.

With front row seats at the game, Munday made bright orange hats for herself and her grandmother to wear to make sure they would be visible to their family by T.V.

At the game, Morrison was treated to a bag of goodies, including a Canucks hat and a signed poster.

“She was thrilled. She was treated like royalty by everyone,” says Munday.
