Bluebacks make waves in Kitimat

The Bluebacks have returned from a swim meet in Kitimat with 13 swimmers from Terrace participating.

Thanasi Fitiziakis and Anke de Wit both swam at 100 per cent personal best times, with Angelina Fitiziakis, Bethany Burnett and Thomas Christensen swimming at 90 per cent best times.

Burnett, Christensen and Brittney Alfred also met provincial swim qualifications in some of their events.

Falyn Gottschling and Emma Hodkinson were new swimmers at the swim meet, and coach Nesia Bare said they had a lot of fun.

Medal winners were Ainslie Hollett with a silver in the 10-and-under girls event. Caleb McGrath Burke with a gold in the 13/14-and-under boys and Anke de Wit grabbed gold in the 13/14-and-under girls category.
