Bike and shoot

The Terrace Rod and Gun Club’s Biathlon Terrace chapter will host the second annual Mountain Bike Biathlon Sept. 24.

The event will combine mountain biking and .22 calibre rifle shooting, and is geared towards introducing everyone over the age of eight to the sport of biathlon.

The club will supply the rifles, ammunition, ear plugs and safety glasses.

Participants must bring their own bike and helmet.

Registration will start at 8:30 a.m, at the clubhouse on 3512 Rifle Range Road in Thornhill.

Races will start at 11 a.m., and cost will be $10.
