To the editor:

I’m flabbergasted at the gall of Terrace city council approaching the Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine and looking for money for Terrace’s Heritage Park Museum.

Several months ago I recall Terrace speaking of approximately $9 million in grants and asking the community for ideas on how to spend this surplus. Depriving these neighbourhood community funds for develping their own parks and trails is what this payment does.

I’m with Thornhill Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine director Ted Ramsey in saying those funds should be withheld and put to better use in Thornhill. We don’t receive millions in grants like Terrace.

Bob Erb,

Thornhill, B.C.
