Appalled at human rights watchdog

Dear Sir:

I am appalled at the civil rights watchdog who slammed the RCMP in Terrace.

Feedback from the community can be one-sided when it involves drug problems, drunkenness, unruly behaviour and from those who contribute nothing to society.

You hear nothing about the policeman trying to calm a hysterical and out of control drunken aboriginal under arrest who kicked the policeman in the groin and the aboriginal was then subdued by being punched in the nose.

That policeman is under investigation rather than holding the perpetrator responsible for the unruly behavioiur in the first place.

The public never hears the other side of lawlessness that caused the incident.

William R. Hull, Ottawa, Ontario
