In Loving Memory

William (Bill) PENNER

May 30, 1936 – April 28, 2007

Bill has travelled to his heavenly home after a courageous two-year battle with lung cancer. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Janet, daughters Suzanne (Omar) and Paula (Scott), son Andrew and grandchildren Sarah, Spencer, Tanner and Jesse.

Bill arrived in Terrace in 1960. He was the owner of Remo Bar Resort, a carpenter, logger, welder, and commericial fisherman. After retirement he continued to enjoy life by running New Remo Bed and Breakfast, where he met many people from all over the world, some of which became dear friends.

Bill loved people. a stranger was a friend he hadn’t met yet. Bill lived life to the fullest and accepted his final illness with grace and courage because he knew where he was going. To Bill, life was an adventure and now he has gone ahead of us for the GREATEST adventure of all. Happy travels Bill. We love you!

Special thanks to Dr. Fourie, Nurse Corry, Dr. Appleton, Mills Memorial Hospital Nursing Staff, Oncology Staff, and Home Health Nurses. Deepest thanks to our dear friends, family and neighbours who blessed us with their kind acts and prayers.

A Celebration of Life was held Saturday May 5 at the Terrace Pentecostal Church. In memory of Bill, donations may be made to the REM Lee Hospital Foundation Palliative Care or Oncology Departments.
