Walter is remembered as an honourable man devoted to his family, avid outdoorsman, and friend who is true to his word. He is survived by his loving wife Pamela, his son Erik (Starla), grandchildren Brandon, Saige, Kyle and Tianna, his sisters Darlene (James) Fernholz and Jeanne (Steve) Kling.

Walter was a United States Air Force Veteran who emigrated to British Columbia in 1972. He had an award winning career in broadcasting. He was also one of the founders of “Fishing Forever”.

A celebration of Walter’s life will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 5344 Ferguson Lake Road from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or to the BC Wild Life Federation “Fishing Forever”.
