Vera Ruth McKAY

Born in Fawn Lake,
Alberta, January 30, 1926.
Passed away in Kelowna, B.C., March 8, 2008 at age 82.
Pre-deceased by husband Kenneth, son Gordon, brothers Alan, Tom, Bud, George, Bruce and Kenn and Frank.
Survived by son Stan (Carol), daughter-in-law
Janice, sisters Isobel, Margaret, Mildred, Iris, June and brother Harvey. Grandchildren Ken (Maria), Leigh-Ann, Heather, great-granddaughter Madison and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wish to thank the staff at The Cottonwoods in Kelowna, especially the nurses in the Douglas Fir wing for their kind and compassionate care. We would also like to thank the management and staff at
Missionwood Retirement Resort, and especially Mary Ellen, Sheri, Lisa and Katy and her dear friends,
Lorraine, Dorothy and Betty for the kindness extended to Mom during her stay there.
At Vera’s request, there will not be a memorial service and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any Palliative Care, Cancer Society or Minor Sports organization.
