Marie was born in Burns Lake, B.C. in 1931 and moved to Terrace as a telephone operator when she was a young woman. She met and married Parker Mills, the son of Doctor Stanley Mills for whom Mills Memorial Hospital was named, and raised her two sons, Cliff and Sid, in Terrace.
Marie purchased and ran Roses Shop, a ladies’ wear store in Terrace, for fourteen years. Marie married her second husband, Alan McAlpine and continued to live and enjoy her life in Terrace. Marie met and spent the sunset years of her life with her “soul mate” Bobby Ball who predeceased her.
Marie’s struggle with cancer came on suddenly and she battled bravely. We are thankful she did not suffer. Marie was predeceased by her parents, Clifford and Loris Harrison, and her brother Montie.
She is survived by her brother Bill and sons, Cliff (Rita) Mills and Sid (Joanne) Mills and her grandchildren Kelsey, Jaimie, Geoffrey, Brent and Craig.

There will be a gathering of family and friends
following the service.
