AMES - Stuart Dennis lost his fight with cancer at the age of 62. Born March 7, 1940 died October 13, 2002 at 3:15 pm.
Stuart was born in Swan River, Manitoba to Edith and Fred Ames, the eighth of nine children. He married Lillian Tebea Henderson on October. 14, 1961 at Minitonas, Manitoba. Together they lived in Manitoba before moving their young family to Terrace, BC, Feb. 3, 1973 where they lived for 27 years. In Jan. 1999 they moved to Prince George.
Stuart was a private truck operator before he moved to Terrace. In Terrace, Stuart worked as a truck driver for Trimac, DairyIand and Lomak and became a driver supervisor for Lomak in Terrace and Prince George.
After losing his courageous battle with cancer he went to be with the Lord. Surviving are his wife: Lillian; 5 children and 13 grandchildren. Rod and Barb Ames and their children: Katherine, Matthew and Jessica; Rhonda and Randy Molitor and their children: Rachel, Kenneth, Preston, Zachary, Gregory, Hannah and Lyddia; Dennis Ames and Charmaine Fisher; Anna Ames and Stephen Brown and their children Dylan, Brandan and Colton Brown; Thomas Ames all of Terrace, B.C. Stuart was predeceased by his parents: Edith and Fred Ames; his brother: Murray Ames; his sister: Joyce Cotton as well as his son: Baby Ames and grandson: Steffan Joseph Ames.
