April 2, 1939 - April 22, 2011

Robert Ivor “Mucca” Amdam, age 72, passed away in Lacombe Hospital on Friday, April 22, 2011.

Robert was born April 2, 1939 in Morley, AB, to Hans and Esther Amdam. In 1941, at the age of three years old, Robert moved with his family to Terrace, BC. Robert worked as a log bucker, loader operator and a heavy duty equipment operator. In 1960 he married the love of his life, Dorothy. They had three children and then resided in Terrace, Kamloops, and Lacombe. Robert’s journey was difficult at times, but his faith kept him strong until his peaceful passing.

Survivors include his beloved wife of fifty years, Dorothy and his three children, Alan (Liane) Amdam, of Lacombe, Tammy (Gary) Goertzen, of Africa, and Hans (Keitha) Amdam, of Salmon Arm, BC, plus eight grandchildren, Kylie, Kaitlin, Joshua, Matthew, Kael, Jaxson, Kennedy and Carter and one great grandchild, Richard Teagan Evans. He is also survived by his four sisters, Bertha (Gordon) Watmough, of Terrace, BC, Ruth Hoffman, of Kamloops, BC, Mary (Max) Hoff, of Strathmore, AB, Judith (Ken) Hoff, of Burr, SK. Robert is predeceased by his parents Hans and Esther Amdam.
