In Loving Memory of

Nellie McFadden

March 24, 1920 to February 16, 2015

Nellie passed away peacefully at Terraceview Lodge, where she had been a resident for the past 5 years. She was a teacher and taught at Riverside, Clarence Michiel and Parkside Schools. She was active in her church, enjoyed working in her flower garden, loved square dancing and spending time with family. After retiring Nellie and Ed took a trip across Canada and spent many enjoyable winters in Arizona.

Your gentle face and patient smile

With sadness we recall

You had a kindly word for each

and died beloved by all

The voice is mute and stilled the heart

That loved us well and true

Ah, bitter was the trial to part

from one so good as you

You are not forgotten loved one

Nor will you ever be

As long as life and memory last

We will remember thee

We miss you now, our hearts are sore

As time goes by we miss you more

Your loving smile, your gentle face

No one can fill your vacant place

Nellie was predeceased by her parents Nellie and Harold Swain and her sister Mable Shields.

Nellie will forever be loved and missed by her husband Ed of 73 years, her daughter Lynne (Donald), son Dale (Gail), grandchildren Brett (Marlene), Rae-Ann (Kevin) and Ryan, and six great grandchildren Kyrie, Kyle, Jared, Paige, Logan and Kamryn.

Services for Nellie will be held Saturday, March 28, 2015 2pm at the Knox United Church in Terrace. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
