Margaret (Marg) was born in Saskatoon Saskatchewan on October 3, 1937 to George and Anna Peters, and was the second of three children.

In 1951 her family moved to Terrace where there were more job opportunities for her dad; they built and operated the Agar Ave Red & White for many years.

Following graduation, Margaret went to Briercrest College, after college she worked in a bank, and in 1958 transferred to Chilliwack where she met Gerry.

They had four children; Dave, Les, Shelley, and Leanna, In 1969 the family moved to Terrace, Margaret worked as a substitute teacher, and librarian at Skeena Jr., and then at the Bank of Commerce until her retirement in 1992. For many years she made blankets for Building Healthier Babies, and was recently honored for the generosity of those contributions.

Margaret passed away suddenly on the early morning of October 23, 2011 while doing what she loved; caring for her family.
