It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mabel Field. She fought a courageous battle with her health and passed peacefully with her family by her side. She was born in Shellbrook Saskatchewan in 1938. She married her husband Merril Field in 1955 and was married 61 years.
They moved to Geraldton Ontario and had 1 daughter Sandra. From there they moved to Hudson Hope B.C. and after a few years on to Terrace in 1968.
Mabel was a great cook, sewer, quilter, enjoyed canning and playing many scrabble games with her friends. She will be missed forever.
She was predeceased by her mother Kay Shneider and by her husband Merril.
She is survived by her Daughter Sandra Burton(Dave), Grandchildren David(Marie-Elena), Kristen Burton(Russell), great granddaughter Emma-Lee, her 2 sisters Betty Lindsey and Jennie Byers, nieces and nephews Brent, Joe, Quin, Linda, Carrey and Maryanne.
We would like to express our deepest thanks to Dr Lotz, Terraceview Lodge care workers and staff, Mills Memorial Hospital nurses, Doctors and staff for their kindness, care and respect over this very long journey.
Mom you will be forever in our hearts.
