WRIGHT Joan

On Wednesday, August 16, 2006 Joan Agnes Wright passed away suddenly at her home in Winfield, B.C. at the age of 71 years with her husband at her side.

Joan was pre-deceased by her brothers Murray Kennedy and William Kennedy and is survived by John Wright her loving and devoted husband of 52 years, her children, Barbara Penner (Bob) of Kamloops, B.C., Terry Wright (Ruth) of Terrace B.C., Sharon Wright of Toronto, Ont.. and Brad Wright (Jan) of Hazelton, B.C., her sister Marjorie Cromarty of Port Alberni, B.C., her brother Allen Kennedy of Terrace, B.C. and her 8 grandchildren, Mark, David, Emily, Rachel, Julia, Ross, Ryan and Spencer and many nieces and nephews.

Joan was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was full of life and enjoyed cooking, quilting, reading, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren and friends. She was born in Verdun, a suburb of Montreal, Quebec, later moved to Ontario and then, at age 12, to British Columbia. She lived in Terrace for 50 years and in the last few years moved to Winfield to her beloved home beside Duck Lake with John and her dear pet Pug “Sophie”. Joan worked for many years in the library at

Caledonia Senior Secondary.

She was cremated and a celebration of life ceremony was held in Kelowna on August 23, 2006.

In lieu of flowers a memorial donation may be made to the Mills Memorial Auxiliary at Box 506 Terrace, B.C. V8G 4B5 where Joan volunteered for a number of years.

Her family and many friends

will dearly miss Joan.
