Janine Rinaldi

November 10, 1923 – November 17, 2004

Forever in our hearts Toujours dans nos coeurs

Janine passed into the arms of Jesus with her family by her side on Nov. 17, 2004. During the past two years, Janine fought two major illness, displaying characteristic fortitude and great strength of character.

Janine is survived by her husband of 58 years, Richard Rinaldi, and three children: John (Sharon) Rinaldi, Emma (Bruce) Ferguson and Chantal (Rick) Meijer. Also, ten granchildren: Doris (Ken) Olson; Joan (Sheldon) Wiebe; Gregory, Stanley & Barbara Rinaldi; Mark, Matthew, Michael & Christine Meijer; Nathan Ferguson. As well, eight great-grandchildren: Christopher, Ryan, Zachary, Joey & Korina Olson; Jeremiah, Malachi & Benjamin Wiebe.

In 1953 Janine moved from Paris, France to Telegraph Point, at CNR station 55 miles west of Terrace, to reunite with her husband, Richard, who had immigrated a year earlier. The family eventually settled in Terrace in 1964.

Janine was elegant, cultured, musical and highly intelligent, yet she was, kind, unprententious and always giving. Though in failing health the last few years, Janine always radiated with her greatest attribute, inexhaustible love.

Janine lives on in the hearts of the family she so deeply loved and everyone she touched with Jesus’ love.
