Jacob Leo Klassen

Jake was born in Herbert, Saskatachewan to Jacob and Sarah Klassen. He was the youngest of 7 children.
He served his country overseas during WWII, mainly stationed in Holland.
On a trip home to Saskatchewan in 1950 he met Olga, the love of his life. They were married April 28, 1951 and spent 56 wonderful years together, raising three children.
He truly was a “Jack” of all trades. After living and working around BC, Jake went to work for Alcan in Kemano, then Kitimat, eventually retiring in Terrace in 1991. After that it was travelling and gardening, his two favourite pastimes. His last few years were spent at Terraceview, where he had a smile for everyone.

Jake is survived by his son, Gord Klassen (Elizabeth); daughter Keli Bjorkman (Dave) and 5 grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife Olga in 2007 and his son Wayne in 1978.
A ceremony was held at the Kitimat Municipal Cemetery, March 19, 2010.
