February 13, 1917 - May 14, 2011

Helen passed away peacefully May 14, 2011 with her daughter Roberta by her side at the Prince George Regional Hospital at the age of 94.

Helen was born February 13, 1917 in Calgary, Alberta. She moved to Vancouver and in later years married Norman Booth. In 1952 Helen and her family settled in Terrace where they remained.

Helen loved curling, swimming, and was an avid walker. For 25 years she participated in the Terry Fox Run. She was also a lifetime member of Branch 73 the Happy Gang Center, where she not only worked as a volunteer for many years, but loved to participate in many of the social activities. She was on the Hospital Auxiliary for a number of years. She believed very strongly in giving back to the community of which she loved so dearly.

Helen was predeceased by her husband Norm, brothers Harry & Mike Skarupa (Calgary, AB) sister Annie Brown of (Vancouver, BC) and son-in-law Per Halvorsen.

Helen will be sadly missed by her family she is survived by her daughter Roberta (Bobbie) Halvorsen and son Dennis Booth (Donna). Her 4 grandchildren Norman Halverson (Stephanie), Darryl Booth, Dwayne Booth (Michele), Denise Broughton (Todd) and 10 great grandchildren Kailey, Taylor & Hunter Halvorsen, Tory & Tarran Booth, Kelsey & Samantha Booth and Cole Cameron & Cassidy Broughton.
