You were not perfect
but you tried your best.
How some cried
when you were laid to rest.
They did not see you suffering
from day to day
Longing to be anywhere
but laying there.
You were gone so far & so long
To see you again was our wish
Never, ever thought
it would be like this.
Missing you so much cause life goes on.
You have left a void no one could ever fill,
It hits us hard, when we stand still.
We hang onto the hope we will meet again,
Recalling memories,
trying to ease our pain.
We’re glad to know you’re free again,
but right now sadness reigns.
I thought it would be easier than this,
knowing you were free
but it is hard, this is the way it is to be.
You will be missed but not forgotten.
The littlest things cause our hearts to ache again.
