You left us happy memories
Your love is still our guide
And though we can not see you,
You are always by our side.
Our family chain is broken
And nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us one by one
The chain will link again.
Evelyn was born in Empress AB, and moved to Terrace BC with her husband and children in 1959. She passed away peacefully at Mills Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with Cancer.
Evelyn loved to crochet, and could always be found at the local craft fairs. Evelyn’s flower garden was her pride and joy, and she baked prize winning apple pies. She was well known throughout the community for her volunteer work collecting used envelopes for the Eastern Star.
Evelyn will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 55 years John Arthur Ward; son Dennis Ward; daughters Linda (Norman) Stewart, Janet (Bob) Postuk, Susan Marcin; brother Sonny (Jean) Harder; Grandchildren Lenny (Suzanne), Trisha, Shane, Marsha (Dirk), Sherie, Tasha; Great Grandchildren Kacey, Miranda; and many Uncles, Aunts, Nieces and Nephews. Predeceased by her parents James & Myrtle Harder, and sister MaryAnn Schmidt.
