YEAST - Emily,
was born September 9, 1933 and passed away on August 25, 2006.
She will be deeply missed by her husband of 53 years, George; sons Doug (Lois) and Bruce (Sheri); daughters Sharon (Ron) and Diane (Warren); and grandchildren Robert, Christopher, Kirsten and Cory.
Emily was predeceased by her parents, John and Pauline; sisters Anne and Jean, and brother Bill.
She will be lovingly remembered by her brother Ed (Marge), sister Betty, sisters-in-law Katie, Clara, Christina, Caroline (Ray); brothers-in-law Clem and Art (Marie); many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
The family wishes to thank the many caregivers who extended unlimited compassion and support, and became such an
important part of Emily’s life. In particular, we would like to thank Drs. Wong and Evans, the nurses in the Emergency Room and the Medical Unit at Mills Memorial Hospital, and the home care nurses (Baxter, Colleen, Jody and Elaine). They would also like to thank the many friends and community members who supported Emily and her family during her illness.
A long time resident of Terrace, Emily will be fondly remembered as wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, active member of her community and church, and businesswoman.
A memorial service for Emily was held Thursday, August 31, 2006, at Sacred Heart Parish.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Dr. R.E.M. Lee Foundation would be gratefully appreciated.
