After a 2 1/2 year battle with cancer it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Donna Swan.
Born in Vernon, B.C. Donna graduated from the School of Psychiatric Nuring in April 1966. Married to husband Ron Swan, March 17, 1967, the couple later moved to Terrace in 1972 where they have resided to present date. Donna is survived by her ever-loving husband of 40 years Ron Swan, their two adoring children Callie Lancaster and Cory Swan, her two grandchildren Kyran and Teron Swan, her kindred spirit identical twin sister Dariene Moore and Dariene’s family. She is predeceased by her parents William (Bill) and Agnes Brewer and two brothers Billy and Ronnie Brewer.
A truly special person whos beauty shone both inside and out, Donna dedicated her entire adult life caring for others at Terraceview Lodge and Mills Memorial Hospital psychiatric unit. Always there to lend an ear or a hand she was loved by all who knew her. In turn she was blessed to have had so many loving and caring friends who were there for her to the end. Thank you, we are forever in your debt.
Our dearest sweet Donna, you have fought this
unjust battle bravely and with such dignity and grace.
The time has come to lay down your defenses...you
have won the right to be at peace - Until we meet again,
know how much we all love you.
A memorial will be held in Terrace Wed., July 19th from 1pm-5pm at the Hartman residence 5015 Graham.
