It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of
DAVID JOAO VASCONCELOS VIVEIROS
born in Ginetes, Sao Miguel Acores on August 10, 1953, passed away October 3, 2012.
David immigrated to Canada July of 1968 at the age of 15. He started working for CN at the age of 18 and continued working for the railroad until he retired at the age of 55. He had a great passion for photography especially for the great outdoors. David would often be found in his backyard working in his vegetable garden, spending time with his grandchildren, or reading a book and listening to his radio. He loved spending time with people and helping them in any way he could. David’s smile and laughter will be missed by many.
David leaves behind his loving wife of 36 years Josie; his two daughters Bonnie (Elvis) Vieira, and Amanda Viveiros; his grandchildren Lucas and Claire Vieira; his mother Maria Jose Viveiros; his siblings: Isabel (Terrence) Harding, Teresa Viveiros, Miguel Viveiros, Gabriel Viveiros, and Lucia Morton; his niece Rachel Harding; nephews Tyler and Adam Morton; and all the Raposo family. David is predeceased by his father, Joao Viveiros, brother Guilherme and sister Isara.
The Viveiros family would like to thank Father Terry Brock, Knights of Columbus, Catholic Woman’s League, Dr. Wong, Dr Fourie, Dr. Lim, the oncology and ICU nurses.
