During the wee hours of July 9, 2016, Cam Gordon quietly and peacefully slipped away from us. His last days, reminiscent of his life, were spent surrounded by family and friends. Adored by all who knew him, Cam leaves

behind a legacy of relationships. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, friend, coach and comedian. His devoted wife Carla, whom he considered his best friend, together with his treasured sons Luke and Keaton, were the epicenter of his universe and everything he did. Cam lived in simple ways, always acutely in tune with politics and world news, he was ever the advocate for the underdog. Cam loved

soccer, hockey and all other sports; beer, his dogs, fishing, buddies, making others laugh and above all, he loved people. With the

support and love of many, he endured ten years of cancer with remarkable

courage, grace and dignity. Cam was an unwaveringly loyal, humble and kind person, he’s left his corner of the world and all who dwell within it, a little better for having spent time here. Though his memory brings with it laughter and joy, the void of his departure leaves us all bereft. Where once the remarkable, gentle, funny, sweet soul of Cam Gordon lived, there now exists an un-fillable space. We bid you farewell, adventure on dear friend.

The Gordon family extend their most heartfelt gratitude to all who comforted,

supported, and stood by them over the course of Cam’s illness. You have made the unendurable, durable. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the BC Cancer Agency or the Kamloops Hospice Association.
