Barrie Frank Gieselman of Kamloops passed away on January 4, 2004 at 63 years of age. Barrie is survived by his children, Terese Gieselman (Randy Thompson) of Kelowna BC, Michelle (Ben) Graf of Edmonton AB; grandchildren, Jeremy, Justin, and Samantha; siblings, Robert (Michele), Brian, Gerald, Lloyd, Richard (Lynette), and Carole Stricker; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Barrie is predeceased by his son, Todd; Parents, Hubert and Cecelia Gieselman and brother, Donald.

Barrie was born on September 29, 1940 in Kamloops BC. He grew up in Chilliwack, graduated from Notre Dame and attended Christ the King Seminary. He went on to continue his studies at UBC where he received his Bachelor of Arts and then earned his CA degree. Barrie moved to Terrace BC in 1961 where he raised his family and resided until 1991, when he returned to Kamloops. While residing in Terrace he was a President and Deputy Governor for the Kinsmen Club, Terrace Alderman and active member of the community. Upon his return to Kamloops he continued to practice as a CA and became a partner with his brother Robert with Century 21. Barrie retired as a CA in 1997. Barrie will be fondly remembered for his cooking, love of music, and gardening, most particularly Don Ho and Johnny Cake and roses. We will miss you.

Viewing was held on Thursday, January 8, 6:00 pm - 6:45 pm at Kamloops Funeral Home, Prayer Service followed at 7:00 p.m. at Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel, 285 Fortune Drive. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, January 9, at 11:00 am from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, with Reverend Father Peter Nguyen officiating. Interment took place at the Hillside Cemetery.
