Andy was born on January 19th, 1936 in Kamloops, B.C. and passed away peacefully on April 21st, 2016 at his home in Terrace, B.C.

Andy was predeceased by his parents Dick and Edmee Avison of Silverton, B.C.

He will be sadly missed and

lovingly remembered by his wife Carol; and daughters Wendy (Don) Holkestad and Heather Avison.

Andy was a very proud Grandpa to Dana and Brett Holkestad, Adam (Shannon) Gillis and Shane Gillis.

He is survived by his sister Mary Ann (lan) Kinnell of Lethbridge, Alberta and her family.

Andy lived in Silverton until he transferred with what was then Columbia Cellulose and moved his family to Terrace in 1970. He spent his career working with Skeena Cellulose (Repap) until his retirement in 1994. Andy was a Lifetime Member of the Kinsmen Club and an active member of the local K40 Club until his death. He will be greatly missed by many lifelong friends and many wonderful friends they have met over the past 20 years as “Snowbirds” in Arizona.

There will be no service at his request.
