The City of Terrace just lifted the watering ban, however there are new restrictions in effect.
Odd numbered addresses can use their sprinklers on odd numbered days between 6 and 9 a.m. and vice versa for even numbered houses.
Those who are watering their plants by hand with a controlled nozzle can continue to do so at any time.
The restrictions are put into place to ensure that there is adequate water supply for firefighting purposes while keeping the costs of delivering water down.
Staff from the city will be patrolling to make sure residents are respecting these sprinkling restrictions and violations are subject to fines up to $100.
