Van with large amounts of cash stolen

The Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 111 calls for service from Dec. 4, 8 a.m. till Dec. 8, 8 a.m.

The Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 111 calls for service from Dec. 4, 8 a.m. till Dec. 8, 8 a.m. During the same time period 17 people were lodged in Terrace Cells. Eight of these people were lodged for intoxication.

Theft from a silver 2008 Pontiac Montana van parked on the 4700 block of Loen Ave sometime during the night of Dec. 3/4. A large amount of money was stolen.

A grey Toyota Matrix passed a school bus with its stop sign and lights activated on Queensway/Skeena Valley Trailer court.

Ongoing issues of dogs on the loose harassing pedestrians and children in the area of the 4600 block of Caribou Rd. Police spoke with the Regional District who are investigating the situation.

A brown 2010 Toyota Rav4 collided into the rear of a grey 2007 Volkswagen Jetta stopped at a stop sign on Keith Ave/Kenney St. The drivers of both vehicles were transported to Mills Memorial Hospital for assessment.

Break and enter to a shed on Munthe Ave. Items were taken out of the shed but nothing was missing. Some items were thrown onto the roof of the residence and retrieved by police.

A baby deer was injured near Krumm Rd/Hwy 37. Police located the deer that was suffering from bad injuries and shot it.

Familial dispute. A woman destroying the inside of a residence on Temple St. Police arrested a 25 yr old woman. She is held for court.

Safeway employee arrested a man for shoplifting. Checks determined that the man was breaching condition of not to go to Safeway. The same man had committed the same offences a couple days prior. Police arrested the 41 yr old man and he is held for court.

A white 2013 Ford Truck backed into a purple 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser on Kalum St causing minor damage. No injuries.

A grey 2008 Jeep Liberty was pulled over during a road block on Old Lakelse Lake Dr/Hemlock St. Police detected the smell of marihuana and the driver was arrested. An amount of marihuana, drug paraphernalia, and psilocybin were seized. The 22 yr old driver was served a driving suspension and the vehicle he was driving was impounded.

A blue Pontiac was pulled over on Hwy 16 west near Walmart. The 23 yr old driver was suspended from driving. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel. The vehicle he was driving was impounded.

Police pulled over a vehicle during a roadblock on Old Lakelse Lake Dr/Clark St. The driver was observed to be suffering from injuries. Investigation determined that she had been assaulted. A 29 yr old man was located at a residence and arrested. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

Intoxicated man in front of the Back Eddy Pub. Police arrested a 25 yr old man. Checks determined that he was in breach of no consume alcohol condition. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

Familial dispute. An intoxicated man destroying the inside of the residence on Mountainview Ave with a hammer. He also assaulted a woman causing minor injuries. The 29 yr old man was arrested. He is held for court.

A white Honda Civic was pulled over on Pine Ave. The driver exited the vehicle and fled from police. The vehicle was towed. Later in the day the driver attempted to report his vehicle missing. The 32 yr old man was arrested and charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

The window of a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt was smashed out while it was parked at the Dairy Queen between 9 AM and noon on Dec 7th. A bottle of cologne, 2 black tank tops, a black sweater, and a black shirt were stolen. Suspect is a Caucasian man wearing a grey hoodie, dark colored coat with white sleeves, and carrying a red and white back pack.

Intoxicated man in front of the Bear Country Inn on Lakelse Ave. Police arrested the man. Checks determined that the man was in breach of a Conditional Sentence Order and Probation order to not be outside of a residence when under the influence of alcohol. The 28 yr old man was arrested and is held for court.

A brown Toyota Echo lost control on a sanded corner of Kalum Lake Rd and hit the ditch, going down a steep 40 ft embankment and flipping onto its roof. No injuries.

Missing 17 yr old girl.

Warrant issued for a 43 yr old man for failing to comply with probation.

A 16 ft utility trailer with 5 ft side walls and a loading ramp was stolen from the 1600 block of Kenworth Ave during the night of Dec 3rd/4th. It was found the same day in the car pooling parking lot on Hwy 37.

Sometime between Oct 24th and Nov 21st two 20lb propane tanks and two six volt batteries were stolen from a travel trailer parked on the 4800 block of Lazelle Ave. Two other trailers parked at the location are also missing propane tanks and batteries.

Change, shoes, and a Dell laptop were stolen from a white 2014 Ford truck parked in the 4500 block of Lowrie Ave sometime during the night of Dec 7/8.
