Terrace RCMP seeking information on two arsons

Police say both suspicious fires took place within half an hour of each other

Terrace RCMP are asking the public for any information about two arsons that occurred on Saturday night, September 19th, within half an hour of each other.

The first incident occurred shortly after 11 p.m. A back hoe parked in the lower parking lot closest to the river on Ferry Island was completely destroyed by fire. Its value was $60,000.

The second incident occurred at 11:30 p.m. A mushroom depot near the Thornhill Meat Market on Clark St. was extensively damaged by fire. A plastic jerry can with gasoline was used to deliberately set this fire.
