Terrace RCMP and coroner investigate discovery of human remains

Couple out fishing on Skeena River find badly decomposed body

Human remains were found near Terrace during the BC Day long weekend, report police Aug. 5.

On August 3, around 4:30 p.m., a couple had been out fishing on the Skeena River and had pulled in along the south shore of the river approximately 8 km west of Terrace when one of them happened upon a badly decomposed body, said police.

The Terrace RCMP is working in partnership with the BC Coroner's office in an attempt to identify the individual and to determine the cause of death.
