Teen goes missing for 23rd time this year

During the same time period, there have been 24 people lodged in Terrace cells – 17 of these people were lodged for public intoxication.

Here are some of the calls responded to:

A person gained access to another person's Facebook account then falsely advertised this person as being a sex trade worker. Photos grabbed from the internet were also posted as being of this person falsely.

Police apprehended a suicidal 13-year-old under the Mental Health Act and transported her to Mills Memorial Hospital for assessment.

Police conducted a curfew check on a 53-year-old man. He was in breach of his condition to not be outside of his residence. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

A grey 2004 Dodge Ram was pulled over on Hwy 37 near Onion Lake. The 19-year-old driver was prohibited from driving. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel. The vehicle she was driving was impounded.

Domestic assault at George's Pub. Police arrested a 46-year-old woman at her residence for assault. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

A blue 2001 Ford F150 was pulled over on Hwy 16 at Ferry Island. The 21-year-old driver provided two samples of breath into a roadside screening device that resulted in warns. He was served an Immediate Roadside Prohibition and the vehicle he was driving was impounded.

Theft from an unlocked blue Dodge Caravan parked on Kenworth St. The suspect is described as wearing a black jacket, with a black backpack, face cover, and a head lamp.

A man was out walking his dog when he was attacked and bitten by his neighbour's pitbull on Maple St. The man sustained minor numerous injuries. The information was passed on to animal control.

A blue 1997 Ford F150 was observed making an attempt to park in between a white 2014 GMC Sierra truck and a brown 2005 Ford Freestar Van and damaging both. The Ford then parked at the far side of the parking lot of the Skeena Mall. The driver of the Ford was identified as a 22-year-old woman with no driver's licence.

A purse was left behind at Safeway. It contained various ID, cards, cash, an iPad, and an iPhone. The purse was found in an alleyway in behind Gemma's and turned into the detachment minus the iPad, iPhone, and cash.

A vehicle hit the ditch and flipped onto its side on Shames Mountain Road. No injuries. The vehicle was towed.

Loss prevention officer of Walmart detained a 54-year-old woman for fraudulently making attempt to return items to Walmart that were not purchased from Walmart. Under investigation.

A bundle of keys was lost.

A red 2001 GMC Sierra was pulled over on Hwy 16 near the Evergreen Pub. The vehicle was uninsured. The vehicle was impounded. The licence plate also had an incorrect Valtag.

Police pulled over a blue 2012 Ford F150 on Clore Ave. The 23-year-old driver provided a sample of breath into a roadside screening device that resulted in a fail. He was served an Immediate Roadside Prohibition. The vehicle he was driving was impounded.

A grey 2004 Chevrolet truck was pulled over on Kalum Lake Dr./McConnell Ave. The 20-year-old driver was prohibited from driving. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel. The vehicle was impounded.

A grey 2010 Ford Ranger was pulled over on Kalum St. The 25-year-old driver provided two samples of breath into a roadside screening device that resulted in warns. He was served an Immediate Roadside Prohibition. The 23-year-old female passenger had a notice to serve a driving prohibition. Same done.

Intoxicated man passed out in the bus stop in front of Safeway. Checks determined that the 21-year-old man was in breach of his curfew. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

A grey 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier was pulled over on Hwy 16 near Kerr St. Checks determined that the 36-year-old driver was unlicensed and had a notice to serve a prohibition. Police transported the man to the detachment where he provided three samples of breath that were over three times the legal limit. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel. The vehicle was impounded.

A blue 2008 Honda Civic was pulled over on Lakelse Ave. The 31-year-old driver refused to provide a sufficient sample of breath into a roadside screening device. He was served an Immediate Roadside Prohibition and the vehicle he was driving was impounded.

A person made a theft complaint. Investigation determined that it was a drug deal that went wrong. The man did not want further police involvement.

Two dogs described as a small black dog and a tan/white shepherd cross attacked a neighbour's cat twice in as many days, causing a broken leg to the cat. Investigation determined that another neighbour's cat was also attacked last week. Information was passed on to animal control.

Shoplifters at the Skeena Liquor Store. Police caught up to the two men near the Best Western Inn and nothing was found on their person. One of the men was intoxicated to the point of being arrested and the other was sent on his way. Investigation determined that the 21-year-old man who was arrested did steal a bottle of alcohol in a visit that was made just prior to police attendance. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

Theft of a dog from a vehicle parked at Safeway. The man called back a short time later; he had forgotten the dog at Ferry Island following a walk.

Missing 13-year-old girl. This is the 23rd report of this nature this year. She returned on her own accord, changed her clothes, had a shower, ate, and then left again.

A green Chevrolet Blazer was observed leaving a residence on Paquette Ave. Attempts were made to pull the vehicle over but it failed to stop for police. The vehicle was located at a residence on Spruce St. abandoned. Two men were observed fleeing from the vehicle. Under investigation.

Theft of cigarettes from the Copperside 2 on Hwy 16 west. Under investigation.

A man walked into Mr. Mike's and told staff that a person wanted to slit his throat then left. Police located the man in the area. He directed police to youths in behind Valard on Lazelle Ave. A 14-year-old boy was transported to Mills Memorial Hospital due to his level of intoxication. Police arrested a 14-year-old boy, a 12-year-old girl, and a 17-year-old boy for intoxication. A knife was located on the 14-year-old boy.

Break and Enter to the Thornhill Pub on Thornhill St. on March 3 at 12:30 a.m. A window was smashed and alcohol was stolen.
