Residence advertised for rent fraudulently on Craigslist

During the same time period, eight people were lodged in Terrace cells; none for intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

Erratic driver in a silver Ford Focus. Checks of the area were done.

A person attempting to break in to a residence. Police spoke with a highly intoxicated person and could not get a clear version of events. There was no sign of a break and enter and checks of the area were done.

Theft of a black purse containing a tan colored women’s Nixon wallet, various ID and cards at a business on Lakelse Ave.

Assist the public on a matter.

Elsewhere Terrace

A 27-year-old man was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Nass Valley.

A broken silver iPod was found on the 4600 block of Straume Ave. and turned into the detachment.

Abandoned vehicle in a parking lot on Keith Ave. Police spoke with the registered owner.

A black Camel backpack was lost between the Shell gas station and the Sande Overpass containing cash, iPod shuffle, headphones, and a pink rain jacket.

A person passed out in the Medical Centre. Police arrested the 22 yr old woman. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

Missing youth. Under investigation.

While on another call, police observed a man who had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The 45-year-old man was arrested.

A black Samsung Galaxy S4 in a black case was lost between McDonald’s and Ksan House on July 17th between 12:30 and 1 p.m.

A lost wallet was found in the room of a youth. The wallet was returned to its owner.

Traffic concern. Police spoke with the people involved.

A person reported that their house was put up for rent on Craigslist fraudulently by a scammer. The advertisement contains pictures of the house and directions to contact anitacampbell1101@hotmail.com or at 503-784-4313. The scammer also states that once $1,200 is mailed, the keys to the house would be sent out. Police gave advice on the matter and conducted checks of the residence.

Abandoned 911 call on Kalum St. Checks of the area were done.

A person made a complaint that there was not enough tape/cones/signs put up for a new pavement job. Checks were conducted and there were no concerns.

Traffic complaint. Checks were conducted of the area. No issues.

A man walking down Haugland carrying a gun and a pop sound was heard. Police detained a man matching the description provided. He had been holding a black hat in his hand. A gun was not found.

Missing youth. She was located by the parent.

Three people car shopping on Temple St. Two people in the area matching the description provided were detained. An RCA personal video player with a kid’s movie in it, brown Ryder sunglasses, Leatherman in its case, an iPod with charger, and a flashlight were seized. Police are looking for the owners.

A 39-year-old woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Kelowna.

Turkeys on the loose, blocking traffic on McConnell Ave. Checks of the area were done.

Domestic harassment. Under investigation.

False business alarm on Lazelle Ave.

A person inside of a business complex on Kalum St. Checks of the area were done.

Thornhill

Information received on a missing person’s whereabouts. Police spoke with the missing person, now no longer missing.

A person passed out on the highway. The person was transported to Mills Memorial Hospital due to his level of intoxication.

Domestic dispute. Police spoke with the people involved. A resolution was reached.

Rural

Two cars passing unsafely on Hwy 37 near Lakelse Lake. Checks of the area were done.
