Nearly half of calls to police in 24 hours for intoxicated people, alcohol

Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 19 calls for service from March 15-16.

Here are some of the calls:

A commercial alarm sounded at a business on Kalum Street. Police attended and determined it to be false.

A suicidal person was reported to police. Officers spoke with the person. Unsubstantiated.

A group of people were drinking behind a business on Greig Avenue. Police attended and disposed of open alcohol present. The group moved along.

A man was reported to be breaching his no-contact conditions. Unsubstantiated.

An intoxicated woman was at a business on Park Avenue. Police attended and drove the woman home. Police received a report of a suspicious woman door knocking at an address on Park Avenue. Police located and spoke with the woman.

An intoxicated man was reported on Park Avenue. Police arrested the man for Cause a Disturbance and lodged him in Terrace detachment cells to sober up safely.

An intoxicated woman was at a business on Lakelse Avenue. Police attended and arrested the woman for mischief. She was lodged in Terrace RCMP cells and released when sober.

A woman reported being assaulted. Under investigation.

An intoxicated man was reported at a business on Hwy 16. Police attended and transported the man to another location.

Police received information on possible drug production.

A false alarm was received for a business on Lakelse Avenue.

A youth was reported as yelling and vomiting on Anderson Street. Patrols were made.

Police attended Walsh Avenue for a report of a group fighting. During the investigation, a man was found to be breaching his conditions. He also made threatening comments. Under investigation.

Police received a report of a suicidal person. Officers met with the person. Unsubstantiated.

A youth was reported as suicidal. Unsubstantiated.

Two intoxicated people were arguing in the street. Police attended and parties were separated.

Police were requested to assist another agency with an intoxicated man. Officers drove the man to an alternative location.

An alarm went off at a business on Keith Avenue. Police attended and determined the alarm to be false.

A woman reported being yelled at by her neighbour in Thornhill. Police spoke to both parties.
