Meat shoplifting popular in Terrace, BC

HERE ARE the incidents requiring the presence of Terrace RCMP officers for the 24-hour period ending 8 am, June 14.

Downtown Terrace

- a Motorola blue tooth headset was turned in. It was found in the detachment parking lot.

- a female was arrested for theft after shoplifting meat from Safeway.

- an intoxicated male was arrested for breaching his release conditions from previous charges.

Elsewhere

- two men fighting on Straume Ave. Police attended, both men knew each other and fight was consensual. No injuries.

- a man breached his release conditions by contacting a woman he was to have no contact with.

- police were called about a B&E to an abandoned house. Three intoxicated females were arrested for mischief.

- a male was arrested for assault after he was seen punching a female on Greg Ave.

- a suspicious male wearing blue jeans and a black jacket was asking strange questions of a resident on Loen Ave. Checks were done but male not located.

- a male was arrested near Kalum St. for possession of a controlled substance and breaching his probation.

- police attended an address on Hall Street for a consensual fight between two males. There were no injuries and the males were separated and sent on their way.

Thornhill

- a bicycle was stolen from outside a business between 1:00PM and 2:30PM Wednesday.

- a young man was reported missing but came home a few hours later.

Kitsumkalum, Kulspai, Gitaus

- theft of an iPod was reported
