Man arrested for allegedly selling cocaine downtown

During the same time period, there were six people lodged in Terrace Cells – four of these people were lodged for intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

Attempted fraud. A local business received a phone call from a person requesting that products be shipped to an address in Barrie, Ont. The person provided a name and business that were legitimate but being used fraudulently as well. Under investigation.

Group of people causing a disturbance on Lazelle Ave. Police spoke with the group.

Store employees of Safeway arrested a shoplifter who was intoxicated and uncooperative. Police arrested the 37-year-old man.

Separation issues and allegation of theft of property. Police spoke with the people involved. Unsubstantiated.

Man passed out on Lakelse Ave./Emerson St. Police arrested a 62-year-old man for intoxication.

Group of people causing a disturbance by drinking alcohol in an alley behind Lazelle Ave. Police spoke with the group.

A person was observed to conduct a drug transaction at Kalum St./Lakelse Ave. The 18-year-old man was arrested and an amount of cocaine was seized from his person. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

False business alarm on Eby St.

Domestic assault. Police spoke with the people involved.

Intoxicated person on Lazelle Ave. Police arrested a 22-year-old man for intoxication.

Group of people loitering on Lakelse Ave. in front of Tim Horton’s. The group dispersed prior to police attendance.

Intoxicated person sleeping in the foyer of the Royal Bank. Police spoke with a 62-year-old man inside of that location. He was sober.

Elsewhere Terrace

Attempted break and enter into a vehicle parked on Medeek Ave at 2 a.m. The man was scared off by the vehicle owner.

A grey Chevrolet Cavalier was pulled over on Greig Ave./Emerson St. A prohibition notice was served on the 26-year-old driver as per an action request.

Group of people drinking in a field on Park Ave. and using the field as a toilet. Police spoke with two men and woman.

A 33-year-old man was arrested on Park Ave. on an outstanding warrant.

Missing 10-year-old boy. He returned home on his own a short time later. He was at a friend’s.

Intoxicated man refusing to leave a residence and assaulting another man inside. Police arrested a 26-year-old man. The man was violent and attempted to spit on police officers.

Fight on Lakelse Ave. at the Back Eddy Pub. Police spoke with numerous people and determined that the fight was consensual, fueled by alcohol.

False business alarm on Kalum St.

An intoxicated spouse and a family member refusing to leave a residence. Police spoke with the people involved and a resolution was reached.

A person was threatened with a pocket knife. Police spoke with the girls involved. Unsubstantiated.

Rural

Neighbourhood dispute over drainage issues on Glen Rd. A threat was uttered. Police spoke with the people involved.

A white 2006 Pontiac Vibe passed a school bus displaying flashing lights and stop sign on Beaver Cr./Copper River Rd.

Misuse of medication investigation.
