The Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 26 calls for service from January 9th, 8 AM till January 10th, 8 AM. During the same time period there was one person lodged in Terrace Cells, none for public intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

  • A blue Ford Focus ran a red light at the intersection near Trigo’s on Kalum St. Checks were done of the area.

Elsewhere Terrace

  • Concern for the wellbeing of a 15 yr old boy who missed school. Police attended to a residence and spoke with the boy who was fine.

  • False alarm on Keith Ave.

  • A man lying down in the waiting room of the hospital. Police spoke with the man.

  • False 911 call from a business on Kalum St.

  • Overdue traveller. He arrived safely shortly after the call was placed.

  • Domestic argument. No offence committed. Further police involvement was not wanted.

  • Missing 12 yr old girl. Runaway.

  • A man is concerned that he is being accused of keeping another’s belongings. Police gave advice on the matter.

  • A grey 2009 Ford F150 truck was pulled over on Molitor St. The 64 yr old driver provided a sample of breath into a roadside screening device that resulted in a fail. He was served an Immediate Roadside Prohibition and the vehicle he was driving was impounded.

  • Child luring investigation.

  • A 17 yr old girl was offered a ride by a man in a newer black 4 door truck on Lakelse Ave near the Back Eddy Pub.

  • A man driving into the Canadian Tire parking lot was recorded by IPhone by a man and woman in a Dodge Charger. No offence committed.

Thornhill

  • A maroon Ford truck with clothing dragging behind it driving in an erratic manner on Hwy 16. Checks were done of the area.

  • Abandoned silver 2000 Toyota Camry on its side in the Golf Course parking lot. Police spoke with the parent of the registered owner.

  • A man made complaint that the Thornhill Animal Control seized his dog. Police spoke with the people involved. No issues.

  • A 21 yr old woman going through alcohol withdrawals requiring medical attention. Police called BC Ambulance who transported the woman to Mills Memorial Hospital.

  • Impaired driver in a grey Pontiac G5. Checks were done of the area.

  • Drug investigation.

Rural

  • Familial dispute. A 15 yr old girl refusing to follow the rules of the house and turn her cellular phone over to her parents. Police spoke with the people involved.

  • Historical sexual assault investigation.

  • Identification cards were turned into police that were found in George Little Park.

  • Theft from an unlocked green 2003 Volkswagen Passat and a black 2011 GMC Sierra parked on Lazelle Ave. A set of Dr. Dre’s Beats headphones and an FM transmitter were stolen.

  • A black 4 door sedan was tailgating a chip truck driving west into Terrace on Hwy 16. Checks were done of the area.

  • Numerous 911 hang ups from a cellular phone. The phone was unable to be traced.

  • A deer was struck by a vehicle on Hwy 37 halfway up the airport hill and was in the middle of the road. Checks were done of the area. The deer was gone.
