DEALING WITH one of the more heavy snowfall winters in recent times continues today with a closure of Highway 16 from Terrace to Prince Rupert.
The closure, 16km west of Terrace is because of avalanche control and is due to finish at 11 am.
There is also avalanche control going on 60km west of Terrace on the same highway.
This is to last until 4 pm and minor delays are expected.
Travel advisories had been posted through the region after rain began falling on compact snow, creating very slippery conditions.
