Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 83 calls for service from February 14, 8 a.m. till February 17, 8 a.m.
During the same time period, there were 30 people lodged in Terrace cells – of these people, 23 were lodged for intoxication.
Here are some of the calls responded to:
A grey 2006 Chevrolet Silverado truck lost control, hit the ditch, and rolled several times on Hwy 37 south of the Hot Springs. The passenger of the truck suffered minor injuries.
A 16-year-old boy was jumped by a group of men on Park Ave. near the library and his headphones were stolen. Police have spoken with numerous people involved. Under investigation.
Theft of alcohol from the Coast Cold Beer and Wine Store. Police arrested a 22-year-old man in the George Little Park. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
Domestic assault. A woman was assaulted. No injuries. Police arrested a 23-year-old man. Investigation determined the complaint unsubstantiated. The man found alternate accommodation.
An intoxicated 35-year-old man went into a residence that he had no business to be on Tsunyow St. A woman hit the man with a piece of wood and he left. Police conducted checks of the area and residence of the man.
Domestic dispute. No assault. Police arrested a 44-year-old intoxicated man.
During patrols, police observed a cargo light on of a vehicle parked on Soucie Ave. Investigation determined that thieves had gone through the vehicle. Police arrested a 15-year-old boy and a 20-year-old man in the area. Items were seized from them that were stolen from other vehicles. Investigation continues.
Domestic assault. Police spoke with the people involved. An intoxicated woman was wanting to fight everyone and causing problems. Police arrested the 23-year-old woman.
Intoxicated woman causing problems and refusing to leave a residence. Police arrested a 41-year-old woman.
Group of 14-year-old girls planning to fight at a school yard on Sparks St. Police arrived at the set time and spoke with six girls in that location. A challenge was issued to fight after a person took offence to words that were spoken IRL. Investigation determined that IRL meant In Real Life. Police spoke with the girls involved.
Theft of alcohol from the Coast Cold Beer and Wine Store. Police arrested a 44-year-old man a short distance away. He is held for court.
A 16-year-old girl found an intoxicated man passed out in her residence on Hamer Ave. A man was called by telephone who attended and held the intoxicated man till police arrived and arrested him. The man had no idea where he was due to his level of intoxication.
An intoxicated man unlawfully in an office on Kalum St. Police arrested a 20-year-old man who was so intoxicated he thought he was in the dorms of the NWCC.
A brown 2003 Toyota Corolla and a grey 2011 Dodge D150 truck collided on Thomas St./Straume Ave. when the Toyota attempted to make a U-turn. The Toyota sustained major damage and was towed. The driver of the Toyota suffered minor injuries.
Police observed a man involved in a fight with himself in the bus shelter on Lakelse Ave. Police arrested the 60-year-old man.
A man sexually assaulted a woman in Walmart. He followed her around then tried to grab her chest area. When she smacked his hand away, he held her wrist. She freed herself and left the store. He followed her and flicked his tongue and smacked his lips at her. The woman managed to take a picture of the man with her phone to show police. Investigation led police to speaking with a 38-year-old man on the city bus.
An intoxicated man refusing to leave the damp shelter on Sparks St. Police arrested a 46-year-old man.
