Gas station pump damaged

From 8:00 AM on Jan 2, 2013 to 8:00 AM on Jan. 3, 2013, Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 33 calls for service. During the same period, 5 people were lodged in Terrace cells, 4 of which were for public intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

A woman reported she lost her wallet downtown. It was grey with black circles and contained her I.D.

An unknown male used the pump nozzle to smash a gas pump digital display at the Safeway gas bar. Approximately $500 in damage was caused.

Elsewhere in Terrace

Police arrested a male after they observed him cutting up marijuana in the front seat of a passenger car which was parked on the street. He was released later in the day.

A hit & run accident on Park Ave. A parked car was hit causing damage to the mirror.

A suicidal woman was on the old Skeena River Bridge, threatening to jump into the river. Police apprehended her and took her to Mills Memorial Hospital.

A motel employee reported her purse had just been stolen while she was away from her desk. Police were able to locate and return the purse and its contents.

Rural

Two separate incidents on Hwy 37 South in which vehicles lost control on the icy road and went into the ditch. Injuries were minor.
