Fishing and golf gear stolen from Ferry Island camp

The Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 111 calls for service from Aug. 22, 8 a.m. until Aug. 25, 8 a.m.

The Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 111 calls for service from Aug. 22, 8 a.m. until Aug. 25, 8 a.m. During the same time period 27 people were lodged in Terrace Cells. Of these people lodged, 16 were for intoxication.

Fraudulent email. A local person’s name is being used in the email. Further contact with the scam artist was not made and money was not sent. Police notified the person whose name is being used.

Intoxicated man bothering people at a business on Kalum St. Police arrested a 20 yr old man. Checks determined that he had a warrant for his arrest and was in breach of a recognizance by consuming alcohol. The man is held for court.

Person passed out on the front porch of a residence on Pear St. Police arrested a 17 yr old boy. He was in breach of an undertaking condition of abstain from the consumption of alcohol. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

Intoxicated suicidal 16 yr old girl out of control. Police arrested the girl.

A man was told to leave a residence. He refused then punched the homeowner. Police arrested a 34 yr old man. He was on probation. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

A suicidal 23 yr old woman was apprehended under the Mental Health Act and transported to Mills Memorial Hospital for assessment.

One layer of a window of a business on Pohle Ave was broken on August 23rd at 3:22 a.m. Entry was not gained. Another business in the area also had a large hole in the front window. Entry was not gained.

Uttering threats. A man brandished a piece of rebar. Under investigation.

Sexual assault investigation.

A grey 2014 Mazda truck westbound on Lakelse Ave rear ended a blue 2014 Nissan Frontier. Minor damage to the Nissan. No injuries.

Loss Prevention Officer of Walmart arrested a 54 yr old man for shoplifting. Police arrested the man. Under investigation. The man is banned from the store.

A person received threats via Facebook. The issue was discussed with a woman.

Impaired driver in a grey 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche on Lakelse Ave. The vehicle was located parked on Lakelse Ave/Kalum St. Police arrested a 32 yr old man. Further details could not be obtained.

911 call. A man assaulted a woman. Police arrested a 36 yr old man. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel. The woman suffered minor injuries.

Police observed a fight in front of George’s Pub. The two were separated and spoken with. The 29 yr old man involved in the fight was arrested. An amount of drugs were seized from his person. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

People being mean. Police spoke with the complainant. He was intoxicated and in breach of probation condition of not to consume alcohol. The 28 yr old man was arrested.

Stolen vehicle parked at the Terrace Airport. A woman seen inside of the vehicle was attempting to fly out. Police arrested a 30 yr old woman and seized the vehicle.

Police apprehended a suicidal 38 yr old woman under the Mental Health Act.

A designer wallet with metal around the outside containing various cards and ID was lost somewhere between Terrace and Prince Rupert.

Loss Prevention Officer of Safeway arrested a woman for shoplifting. Police arrested the 18 yr old woman and seized drug paraphernalia from her person. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

Various contents belonging to a neighbour found strewn on the front yard of a residence on Olson Ave. The items had been stolen from an unlocked vehicle then discarded by the thief. Items were returned to owner.

An intoxicated neighbour yelling threats and brandishing a type of weapon on Walker St. Police arrested a 56 yr old woman.

Theft of a Hardy Fly Rod with a Lamson reel and a set of tailor made golf clubs were stolen from a tent on Ferry Island. Under investigation.

Breach of a no go condition in relation to a domestic. Under investigation.

The window of a business on Kalum St was smashed out on August 25th at 12:30 AM. Police detained a man in the area for investigation. An axe, stolen items, and evidence were seized from the man. The 38 yr old man was arrested and charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel. A vehicle was located on Lakelse Ave with a smashed out window.
