Fake rental ad wanted cash before viewing place

During the same time period, one person was lodged, none for intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

Theft from an unlocked brown 2002 Pontiac Sunfire parked in the rear parking lot of Don Diego's on Kalum St. sometime between 12:30 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. on July 18th. A tan wallet containing various cards, ID, and cash was stolen.

Traffic incident on Lakelse Ave. A person attended the detachment to discuss the matter. It stemmed from another incident at Walmart of vandalism of a vehicle. Police spoke with the people involved.

A Norco bike with black and white forks was stolen from Save On Foods during the night of July 20/21.

Elsewhere Terrace

Graffiti in various locations around town.

A person having a bowel movement near the lamp post on Haugland Ave./Kalum St. Police spoke with a 60-year-old man in the area, who denied the allegation. Landlord tenant issues.

A two-tone green/cream 1997 Ford F150 with BC LP #HL4714 was stolen from the northeast parking lot of Ferry Island sometime between 3 p.m., July 19th and noon, July 21st.

Threats via text messages. Unsubstantiated. Police discussed the ongoing allegations with a woman.

Domestic dispute. Police spoke with a man and woman on Haugland Ave./Tetrault St. Alternative ways of communicating in a constructive manner were discussed.

Assault investigation.

Loss Prevention Officer of Walmart witnessed a theft. Under investigation.

Problems with the way people park on Lazelle Ave. Unsubstantiated.

Domestic dispute. A man and women pushing each other in the hallway of a building on Scott Ave. Police spoke with a woman. No injuries.

A woman yelling at a man walking on Tetrault St. Checks were done of the area.

Fail to comply with an undertaking condition of reporting to bail supervisor. Under investigation.

Suspicious Kijiji Ad for a residence on Pohle Ave. An ad was placed on Kijiji looking for a place to rent and was answered with an ad for a rental of a residence on Pohle Ave. However, the picture on the ad was different than the house at the location and the person wanted a deposit of $500 up front before potential tenants could view the location. No money was exchanged.

Stolen truck. It was not stolen. It was being fixed.

A black 2007 Toyota Tacoma failed to obey stop sign on Lazelle Ave./Munroe St. and almost collided with a white truck travelling on Munroe St.

A TD debit card was found at Eby St./Lazelle Ave.

Rural

Assist in locating a family member to pass on a message.

Assist BC Ambulance with a patient at the Usk Ferry.

A white cube van swerving all over the road from Kitimat to Terrace. Police located the company truck and spoke with the 37-year-old driver.

Kitsumkalum

A man threatened to smash a vehicle. Police arrested a 32-year-old man for breaching a no go condition of an undertaking and uttering threats.
