Driver ignores malfunctioning train arm

Police let him off the hook for not breaking the law in Terrace, BC with malicious intent.

The Terrace RCMP have responded to approximately 30 calls for service from November 29, 8 AM till November 30, 8 AM. During the same time period there were 10 people lodged in Terrace Cells, five of these people were for public intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

a black leather wallet containing various cards and ID was lost between Chances Casino and the Bear Country Inn.

staff at Canada Safeway apprehended a shoplifter. The 24 yr old woman is banned from the store.

a red 1997 GMC pickup truck was checked n the alley way between Greig Ave and Lakelse Ave. The 49 yr old driver failed a roadside screening device. He was served an immediate roadside suspension and the vehicle he was driving was impounded.

a group of persons walking on McConnell Ave when a gold colored truck passed the group, turned around, and threatened to beat them up. Further information was not obtained.

three intoxicated people at the Husky on Lakelse Ave. A 30 yr old man was arrested for public intoxication.

three people loitering outside of a bank asking for money. Police arrested a 48 yr old man, a 33 yr old man, and a 35 yr old man under the Safe Streets Act.

an intoxicated man refusing to leave a residence on Park Ave. Police spoke with the man who said he was assaulted. Police determined the allegation to be false. The man was transported to the Damp Shelter.

Elsewhere Terrace

a black 4 door car driving erratically on Dairy Ave / Eby St.

motor vehicle collision on Kalum Lake/Halliwell Ave. A vehicle was towed. BC Ambulance attended.

false 911 call from the Terrace Law Courts on Kalum St

suicidal 16 yr old girl. Police spoke with her. She had sent a text in spite. Unsubstantiated.

a woman reported a group of youth throwing rocks at windows on Loen Ave. Police spoke with a group of youth who were playing hackee sack near a building that had windows boarded up.

motor vehicle incident on Sparks St/Hwy 16. A red 2013 Honda Civic driven by a 66 yr old man and a white 2002 Toyota Tacoma driven by a 69 yr old man collided. The Toyota was towed. No injuries.

a 15 yr old girl possibly breaching conditions of no consume drugs. Police spoke with the girl. A short time later police were called again because the 15 yr old was upset and tried to punch a person. Police located the girl outside of Denny's restaurant and arrested her for breach and assault. - a 12 yr old boy misbehaving in his residence. An offence was not committed and nobody was in danger. Police gave advice on the matter.

a woman and man fighting on Scott Ave. Police determined that there wasn't a fight. There was a large noisy party that police shut down. Two intoxicated women, ages 22 and 17, were arrested for public intoxication. A few hours later police were called back to the residence. Two men were seen climbing in to the residence through the balcony. A 22 yr old man was arrested for mischief.

an Iphone 4 was stolen at the Copperside on Keith Ave. Under investigation.

Thornhill

inappropriate use of 911. A man refused to leave a residence on Paquette. The woman threatened to call police, called 911, then hung up. The man departed on his own accord.

inappropriate use of 911. A man called 911 screaming and scared and needed an ambulance. Upon attendance police found the man calmly waiting and wanting a ride to the shelter. Police spoke with the man about the appropriate use 911 and transported him to the shelter.

Rural

ongoing problem with an aggressive dog on Old Lakelse Lake Dr. Police gave advice on the matter.

a yellow pickup truck with appliances in the box driving around Jackpine Flats stopping at several driveways. Checks were done of area.

break and enter to a residence on Kozier Rd

Kitsumkalum

vehicle in the ditch at the Valard Camp near the West Kalum FSR and Ecstall Ave. Checks were done.
