IN ADDITION to the new fire chief, the city fire department has moved a couple of firefighters around.
With the retirement of Lieu. Bill Warcup earlier this year, a space was made available so Jason Arsenault has moved up from volunteer firefighter to paid firefighter position, which he began this month.
To add another lieutenant so the department still has four, Lawrence Stella moved up to the position, joining Dean Prins, Dave Jephson and Fred Euverman.
New Terrace fire chief John Klie comes here from Kitimat and starts officially July 4.
Klie takes over from Peter Weeber who resigned earlier this year to pursue an administrative position with the city.
