Police investigate suspicious fire

Terrace RCMP are investigating what they're calling a suspicious fire at the Skeena Kalum Housing Units early this morning.

On August 5, 2014, at 1 a.m., Terrace RCMP responded to assist the Terrace Fire at unit #10-4616 Haugland Avenue, reported police this morning Aug. 5.

When officers arrived, they discovered Units 9, 10, and 11 were fully engulfed in flames.

It was reported that all occupants from the affected units managed to get out safely although it was a very close call for some.

The cause of the blaze is currently under investigation, but is being treated as suspicious in nature.

Terrace RCMP are asking anyone with any information regarding these fires to contact the Terrace RCMP at 250-638-7400 or if you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
