Man sentenced to 140 days in jail
A man wanted on a province-wide warrant for more than two weeks earlier this year has been sentenced.
Quentin Barry Stevens pleaded guilty to one count of assault causing bodily harm and one count of failure to comply with a condition of an undertaking or recognizance in provincial court here July 3.
He was sentenced to 140 days jail time followed by one year of probation with conditions
He is also subject to a five-year firearms prohibition and must provide a DNA sample to police and pay a $100 victim fine surcharge.
On March 4, 2014, Lisims/Nass Valley RCMP asked the public to help locate Stevens, who was wanted on a province-wide warrant and was believed to be in Terrace, said police at that time.
The warrant was issued Feb. 19 for offences related to a violent assault in Greenville in October 2013, said police.
On March 7, he appeared in court on a charge of failure to comply with a condition of undertaking or recognizance and remained in jail until his July 3 court date.
