Terrace police search for woman who attacked boy with pepper spray
A 17-year-old boy was pepper sprayed in the face in a random attack by a woman on May 17 and police are still searching for the culprit.
"The boy was walking home when a woman approached him from a school yard at the corner of Sparks St/Loen Ave and without any provocation pepper sprayed the boy in the face," says the police report.
"The woman then walked west on Loen Ave. and crossed a yard of a residence in the 4700 block of Loen Ave. Investigation determined that this residence was unrelated to the incident," the report continues.
This attack was random and unprovoked. There was no communication between the female and the boy. Pepper spray causes great pain but thankfully no lasting injuries, said Cst Angela Rabut, Community Policing/Media Relations Terrace RCMP.
Terrace RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the woman. She is described as in her 20’s, 5 ft 7 inches, heavy set and chesty, long/thick/bushy/wavy/dark hair, and was wearing a black sleeveless shirt, blue jeans, flip flops, and carrying a white purse. This incident occurred at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Saturday night, May 17.
