Four-year-old wandering around near school

Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 36 calls for service from May 12th, 8 a.m. till May 13th, 8 a.m.

During the same time period, there have been seven people lodged in Terrace cells, all for public intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

Intoxicated man waving a hammer around on Lakelse Ave. Police arrested a 28-year-old man for intoxication and seized a fencing tool.

Intoxicated man staggering down Park Ave. Police arrested a 49-year-old man for intoxication.

Group of people drinking alcohol in behind Brolly Square. The group dispersed prior to police attendance.

Possible intoxicated driver in a burgundy van. Checks were done of the area.

Lost change purse containing various cards and ID possibly near the Shoppers Drug Mart on Lakelse Ave.

Police observed an intoxicated woman staggering into Brolly Square. The 42-year-old woman was arrested for intoxication. She was uncooperative, refused to walk, and attempted to spit on the police members.

A woman attempting to bash in windows of a residence on Lakelse Ave. She left prior to police attendance. Checks were done of the area.

Theft of whiskey from the Coast Bear and Wine Store. The men were described as Caucasian in their 20's, one wearing a red hoodie and the other a black shirt.

Men yelling near the Bear Country Inn. Checks were done of the area.

Possible domestic assault. Police spoke with a woman. She could not account for her injuries due to her level of intoxication. Unsubstantiated.

Elsewhere Terrace

Two calls on a four-year-old child. The first call was the boy was found wandering outside of Caledonia School; the second call was shortly after the first to report the boy was missing. The boy was reunited with his parents.

Money missing from a purse. Under investigation.

A debit card went missing and since its disappearance money has been withdrawn. The incident occurred in Vancouver.

Erratic driver in silver 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt. Police located the vehicle in the Walmart parking lot. The 17-year-old driver was not displaying his N.

A blue car being driven in an erratic manner on Eby St./Lakelse Ave. Checks were done of the area.

Assist Northern Mental Health in an apprehension of a 45-year-old man.

A pitbull on the loose chasing children at the corner of Bailey St./Gordon Dr at the end of the school day. Police spoke with the uncooperative owner of the dog. No reported injuries.

False business alarm on Kalum St.

Two men smoking drugs and passing a liquor bottle on school grounds on Loen Ave. Checks were done of the area.

A man in a front yard calling for somebody not known. Police spoke with two intoxicated women. There were concerns about the well-being of a 30-year-old woman. She was arrested for intoxication.

Suicidal 36-year-old woman. Police spoke with the woman. Unsubstantiated.

Three teens laying down moaning in the tennis courts by the Arena. Police arrested a 15-year-old girl, a 16-year-old boy, and a 19-year-old woman, all for intoxication.

Woman walking down the middle of Hwy 16 in front of Denny's. BC Ambulance attended and transported an intoxicated 21-year-old woman who was complaining of an injury to Mills Memorial Hospital.

Peace Bond application.

Drug information received.

A firearm that was sent away for work never made it back to the owner. Under investigation.

Thornhill

Suspicious man knocked on the door of a residence on Churchill Dr., asked to come in, then when he was denied entry, uttered a threat and left in an older type grey box type vehicle. Checks were done of the area. Under investigation.

An intoxicated woman trying to get into a van and shack on Hwy 16 near the Mac's Convenience Store. She left prior to police attendance. Checks were done of the area.

A man lying down in a ditch on Hwy 16 east of the Copper River Motel with a bike on top of him. Checks were done of the area.

A vehicle crashed in front of the Chevron on Clark St./Hwy 16. Checks were done of the area and a crash was not located.

Rural

Domestic dispute. A woman exited a vehicle on Hwy 16 near the Copper River Rd. and now cannot be located. Police located the woman and transported her to accommodation. No offense committed.

A muscular pitbull bared its teeth and went after a woman out for a walk on Beaver Cr. A neighbour yelled at the dog and it ran away. No injuries. Police spoke with the woman.

Police pulled over a slow moving 1995 green Honda Accord on Hwy 16 west of Terrace. The 34-year-old driver did not have a driver's licence and had an action to serve a prohibition. The vehicle did not have insurance. The prohibition was served and the vehicle was impounded.

Gitaus

Breach of a no contact order. Under investigation.

Kuslpai

Issues with a neighbour on Kulspai Cr. Police spoke with the people involved.
