Truck that was stolen had guns inside

The Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 19 calls for service from March 13th, 2014 to March 14th, 2014. During the same time period there have been two people lodged in Terrace Cells, both for intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

Attempted assault of an employee of Safeway. Police arrested an intoxicated and belligerent 60 yr old man.

Suspicious circumstances inside of McDonald’s. Police spoke with an employee.

A red 1984 Toyota Tercel almost hit another vehicle when changing lanes on Greig Ave in front of Staples, then proceeded to make an unlawful U turn. Police spoke with the 83 yr old driver.

An abandoned Toyota Corolla parked unlawfully in a private parking lot on Lazelle Ave. Police spoke with the owner of the parking lot.

A bottle was thrown from a green 2002 Ford F150 on Emerson St/Lakelse Ave. Police spoke with the 42 yr old driver. He was sober.

A Chevy Aveo changed lanes without signaling on Emerson St/Greig Ave. Police spoke with the 19 yr old driver.

Elsewhere Terrace

False cellular 911 call.

During foot patrol police detected the smell of marihuana on a student. Drug paraphernalia was seized and the student was sent home from school.

Domestic dispute. Police spoke with the people involved. No injuries. Under investigation.

Three residential alarms on Sparks St. The first call police found a 39 yr old woman inside. Police spoke with the homeowner. The woman was not allowed to be there so left. The second call was false. The third call police spoke with a woman who was not in need of police assistance but allowed to be in the residence.

911 hang up at Walmart. Checks were done and it was deemed false.

A person in a red Pontiac Grand Am drove by a man and threw an egg at him. Checks were done of the area.

Intoxicated man left a residence on Kalum St. Police located him staggering down Kalum St/Scott Ave. The 28 yr old man was arrested.

Breach of curfew. The 18 yr old woman returned to the residence a short time after the call was made.

A 13 yr old runaway. Police gave advice to the Ministry of Children and Families.

Thornhill

Suicidal 31 yr old man. Police apprehended the man under the Mental Health Act and transported him to Mills Memorial Hospital

A green and grey 1996 Ford 2 wheel drive truck with BC LP #HK4403 was stolen from the Skeena Landing on Motz Rd during the night of March 12/13. Inside of the truck was a gun with a checkered wood stock and a leather strap that was locked up in a hard case, and a 270 Husqvarna rifle.

Rural

Uttering threats investigation.

Puppy on Hwy 16 west of the Kitsumkalum gas bar. Checks were done of the area.
