Travel not advised on Hwy 37 South and Hwy 113

DriveBC is advising drivers to stay home in certain highways in the area unless travel is absolutely necessary.

In a 3:30 p.m. update this afternoon, March 7, Drive BC reports heavy snowfall and limited visibility on Hwy 37 South from Kitimat to the four-way stop at Hwy 16 here in Terrace.

"Travel advisory in effect. Travel is not advised unless absolutely necessary," said the update.

And the same travel advisory is in effect for the Hwy 16 junction with Kalum Lake Drive, also known as Hwy 113 or the Nisga'a Hwy, as there's also limited visibility with blowing snow from Terrace to Gingolx (Kincolith).
