Two shirtless men ready to fight
Terrace RCMP responded to approximately 19 calls for service from February 17, 8 a.m. till February 18, 8 a.m.
During the same time period, there were five people lodged in Terrace cells – three of these people were lodged for intoxication.
A white 2012 Dodge Ram parked illegally blocking a fire hydrant and an exit on Emerson St. A man moved the truck prior to police attendance. Police spoke with the people involved.
Intoxicated man falling into traffic on Greig Ave./Kalum St. Police arrested a 59-year-old man.
Group of 20 youths causing problems and blocking the doors at the Skeena Mall. Police spoke with the group and they moved on.
Police conducted checks on a group of people standing on Lakelse Ave. A 21-year-old woman was found in breach of a no contact condition by being in the presence of a 29-year-old man. She was arrested. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel. The 29-year-old man was in breach of a no consume nor possess alcohol condition. He was arrested as well and is held for court.
Erratic driver in a grey 2009 Toyota Yaris on the Sande Overpass. Checks were done of the area.
Intoxicated man staggering down Cramer St./Graham Ave. Checks were done of the area.
Fight near Walmart. Police spoke with a man and a woman. Unsubstantiated.
Two shirtless men posturing to fight on the lawn of a residence on Sparks St. Police spoke with one shirtless man and checks were conducted. A fight never did start.
Missing 40-year-old woman. Police spoke with her. She was never missing.
Intoxicated man buzzing various apartments randomly trying to gain access into a building. Police arrested a 28-year-old man.
Procuring prostitution investigation.
Assault investigation involving teen girls.
Overdue fisherman. Police activated search and rescue and an area off of Kalum River was searched via All-Terrain Vehicle. The 46-year-old man was located and not in need of assistance. Discussions were had about giving accurate information to contacts before heading out into the bush.
Abandoned vehicle on Hwy 37 south near Williams Creek bridge. Checks were done of the area.
Possible breach investigation.
Flat deck trailer blocking Matson Rd. Police spoke with some workers in the area and the trailer was moved.
